In addition to our permanent exhibits and displays, the Museum is host to a wide variety of events and activities relating to Chico in both the historical and the present day context.

Our current exhibit: "Yosemite Remembered", an exhibit of photos and artifacts remembering Yosemite National Park, a favored vacation spot for North Valley area residents, features antique camping equipment, souvenirs, and other items from Yosemite. Displays featuring John Muir, Black Bears, the Awahnee Hotel, and much more are included. The exhibit runs through June 20, 2004.

May 1, 2004: David Siegenthaler, Yosemite National Park Public Information Officer presents, The Future of Yosemite. Join us for this special presentation. 1:00 pm.

May 8, 2004: Photographer Byron Wolfe presents Photography Through Time - a look at the processes and stories behind his rephotography of Yosemite National Park now on exhibit. 1:00 pm.

June 19-20, 2004: The Patrick Ranch Threshing Bee where men and animals are at work, ranching the old-fashioned way. Watch horse drawn and vintage tractors harvest the wheat, enjoy food, music, and booths featuring historic agricultural items. Take a house tour, watch a blacksmith at work, or enjoy a ride in a horse-drawn wagon.
